With July 1st 2020, fourteen Vienna Doctoral Schools were established at the University of Vienna. The main goal of the Vienna Doctoral School in Cognition, Behavior and Neuroscience (VDS CoBeNe) is quality assurance in PhD training through specification of consistent high standards for acceptance of new members, the definition of supervision standards and a range of measures to ensure the highest quality of PhD training and promotion of inter and trans disciplinary knowledge exchange. The employment is limited for 2 years.

Extent of Employment: 20 hours/week

Job Description:
As organisational assistant (m/f/d) you play an important role within the VDS CoBeNe. You are contact person for interested parties, members, involved DLE’s of the University Vienna and external co-operation partners.



You will need to keep an overview of the four programs of the VDS, Supervisors and PhDs from different UniVie departments and faculties, and their labs.





Furthermore your duties will include:



• Advertising and managing job vacancies for PhD candidates

• Communication between the steering committee, the non-scientific head of the VDS CoBeNe, PI’s and students

• Organisation of public talks, the Kick-Off event, the annual meeting oft he PI’s and the steering committee as well as other events

• Documentation of the VDS activities, data maintenance

• Assistance in monitoring the PhD candidates

• Assistance with the compilation of the annual report

• Maintenance of the web page

• Assistance in administration and planning of budget



Profile:
Matura or equivalent qualification, IT user knowledge. Excellent communication skills, organizational and coordination experience, strong service orientation are required for this position.

Knowledge of universitary structures and administrative processes as well as SAP knowledge beneficial. Verifiable work experience in office management; Conflict management, ability to work in a team and to work under pressure are essential for day to day office work.
