The research group Visualization and Data Analysis is looking for a system admin and software developer from April 1st, 2023 on. Duration of employment: 1 year/s

Extent of Employment: 20 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §54 VwGr. IIIb with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
The tasks within the research group include the following:
- purchasing of hard- and software – installation and maintenance of hard- and software, especially of workstations, printer, etc.
- first level support
- maintenance of the web presence
- (visualization) tool development and testing.

In addition, you will need to fulfill tasks according to the needs of the faculty of computing science concerning the IT infrastructure.


Profile:
- Bachelor degree
- very good knowledge of English -- speaking and writing
- knowledge of GPU programming
- good knowledge in programming with Matlab, R, C/C++, Java, Python
- good knowledge in web programming and scripting
- expertice in MacOSX / Linux administration
- ability to goal-oriented, independent work


- experience in teamwork, especially with research groups
