The Division of Managerial Accounting (Prof. Dr. Thomas Pfeiffer) at the University of Vienna is offering a position as University Assistant (prae doc), to be filled in a timely manner. The position is limited to a 4 year period. Possible and encouraged is a promotion in the framework of the international PhD Management program.

Duration of employment: 4 year/s

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Job Description:
Tasks involve participation in research, teaching assistance and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement, as well as handling some administrative tasks. We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months.

Completed Master's degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Economics, Management or a comparable field. Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Management/Business Studies with quantitative focus, with grades above average and very good command of English (written and oral) is appreciated. According to the Chair's research emphasis, interest in quantitative scientific work in the field of managerial accounting is expected.
